533...Cabbie In Queensland Fined For Short Sox

Funny that.

In Ottawa they don't signal, the cabbies don't, no problem, no fine, nothing.

In Queensland, as reported in today's Brisbane Courier Mail, a police officer fined a cabbie $100 for not pulling up his socks.

A cabbie named Kidd Moors was fined by the police for having socks that were too short, triathalon or cheerleader socks is what they are called, in Brisbane Cab Drivers' Association of Queensland member Paul Henderson, not that Paul Henderson by the way, said "That's just ridiculous, just crazy. In 18 years that's the first time I've heard of it . . . it creates animosity between drivers and police even further."

May be Mr. Moors and Mr. Henderson should move to Ottawa. In our Nation's Capital cabbies don't have to signal, wear socks or know their way around town. They would love it.
