1431...Amusing Little Stat

From Glen McGregor and Canwest News Service.

He wrote a piece that was featured this morning in the Vancouver Sun that talked about how strong party discipline is in the House of Commons and how, especially with the Tories and the Bloc, MPs follow the party line closely even in free votes.

What I found amusing, and this is not a reflection on the leadership skills of these three wise men, but still, gave me a chuckle, was that "Prime Minister Stephen Harper turned in the worst voting record of MPs who have sat for the full term, missing 51 per cent of votes. Prime ministers and party leaders often miss votes owing to official business outside the chamber. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff missed 49 per cent.

Next to the leader, Liberal Foreign Affairs critic Bob Rae posted the worst voting record in his caucus, missing one third of all votes."
