Moose.
He's three and he is the newest hero in a town that is full of heroes.
Canoe.ca reports that the one "...year-old brown whippet's insistent barking alerted Jolene Sararas Tuesday when her daughter, Alexis, became caught in a backyard gate."
Mrs. Sararas, who's husband Master Corporal Terry works on base, noticed that her dog was freaking out a bit and then she found out why: her little girl was in peril.
She couldn't free the girl; called her hubby; he called 911 and all is well that ends well.
And ending well it did for all including Moose who got a big Porterhouse out of the deal.
