2477...I Am Not A Big Fan Of Mass Murder

True dat.

But I am also not a big fan of gun control. It is anti democratic.

And I despise bullying.

According to Lia Levesque, The Canadian Press, "Victims of some of Canada's worst mass shootings and their families say they will hold NDP Leader Jack Layton responsible if the federal long gun registry is killed by Parliament."

What has riled victims of Montreal's three big school shootings [Concordia, Montreal, Dawson] is the fact that Mr. Layton is going to, wait for it, allow his members to vote their conscience when the vote on the leg comes up.

The irony is that the Dipper leader is pro registry his own self; he just wants to let his people vote their way on this emotional issue. And the victims, the ones that were bullied in the most reprehensible way, want to bully his ass into whipping his caucus.

Two wrongs don't equal a right.

  1. What about the small, persecuted minority of law abiding gun owners who continue to be considered nothing but potential criminals?
They paid ever increasing taxes, answered unconstitutional questions and tolerate home inspections that no other citizen would accept, and with a wave of a pen, their legal possessions can be confiscated with no recourse or reimbursement. Their not criminals yet the media and "progressive" society treats them worst than the convicted organized criminals or drug gangs that are proven to be the real problem.

  2. He can't whip his caucus on this issue. The Northern and Western New Dems will dump him before they vote for the registry.

  3. The sooner this country understands that unversal firearms registration is folly, the better.

New Zealand tried it and repealed it as ineffective and too costly after just a few years.

Focus on crime and real criminals, not the multitude of innanimate, hand portable tools one could be killed with.

  4. More on topic, I have to ask, when does being a victim or a family member of a victim make you an expert on anything?

    Especially morals.
