  1. Are mask wearing vandals included in that statement?

  2. Good point.

    And they are.

Difference being that online Anonymous and wearing a mask are two diff things; the mask wearers can still get grabbed by the po po.

  3. Why do you allow anonymous comments and then criticize those who comment anonymously?

  4. The reason I allow all comments, including ones from individuals that wish to hide is because I am not a censor.

  5. I post anonymously because my ultimate goal is not to post at all.

I am slowly weaning myself from political blogs because ultimately it feels like wasted energy. There are things that I believe, but I question the ultimate benefit of whistling (or screeching) in the dark internet when there is a real world waiting for engagement.

I relinquished my "name" a while back in pursuit of this dream and better mental health ;).

Someday soon I won't feel the need to respond to chatter like this.

So, not being the other anonymous ;), I guess I don't mind the slam, since using the same logic my comment could be construed as a slam to blogging (it's not intended that way).

    Signed,

    Me

  6. Anonymous comments have nothing to do with "manning up" or any such BS. This is the internet. If you breeze through 20 different stories on blogs, at papers and tv sights, you may want to comment. Now you have to fumble for your various ids and passwords to log in... Then they put you on a spam mailing list. All you want to do is leave a brief comment and move on.

If you don't like anonos, turn them off. No big deal.

  8. Well, "World Famous Dan Shields," if you weren't such an attention-seeking douche propagating your crap on Liblogs, you would be totally anonymous.

  9. Yeah, give 'em hell Dan, when it comes to humour and handling hecklers, you're a veritable Tom Dreesen.
