The Calgary Herald has the story and the story is that "Naheed Nenshi will be Calgary’s next mayor. The Mount Royal University professor and regular commentator on civic issues has built an insurmountable lead in the race for the mayor’s chair, with his two main challengers conceding defeat. With 203 of 241 polling stations reporting, Nenshi has a lead of more than 17,000 votes on Ric McIver (39 per cent of the vote versus 32 per cent), while third-place challenger Barb Higgins is far back (26 per cent). All other candidates are around one per cent or less in the polls."
