3573...Raymond Heard Writes The Tronna Star

For centrist Liberals like me, a nightmare scenario is emerging for the election that seems inevitable — and Stephen Harper is bound to exploit it during the campaign.

Based on new polls, it is quite possible for Jack Layton’s NDP to emerge with more seats than the Liberals. Mr. Layton could then become the Prime Minister of a coalition government, propped up by another side-deal with the separatists, who may also win more seats than the Grits and therefore get more cabinet seats than the Liberals.

If this happens, we will witness the fall of the Canadian Liberal Party, just as our grandfathers saw the fall of the British Liberals a century ago when they lost their way in the wilderness.
