Anyhow, apparently Canada is great and we are doing really well and he talked real fast because the hockey game was on at 8 eastern, 5 pacific and Mr. and Mrs. Harper did not raise no fool and Canada has a purpose now that the country has a Conservative majority government.
Everyone applauded. A lot. Later in the speech the PM painted a dark picture of the world around Canada and said there are forces rising that Canada must resist. The guys with the black hats. Makes them easy to spot.
Oh, yeah, and the NDP will collapse and, oops, it is 8 03 and I have to get in front of a plasma. At that exact time, 8:03 p.m. EDT, Stephen Harper managed to say his trademark ending line, "God bless Canada."
Did not mention the protesters once.
