3858...I Was Pulling For Love Me Tender

As the new anthem for Quebec.

Just in time for La Fete de Fall In The Bonfire, also known as Fete Nationale and Jean Baptiste Day, Anne Sutherland in the Montreal Gazette reports that La Belle has a new anthem. " 'The St. Lawrence swims in our blood; waves of hope run through our veins. Our culture has a good wind in its vast sails; The lights of our spirit shine around the earth.' If lyrics like the ones above make your soul swell with patriotism, you're in luck. O'Kébèk, un hymne pour le Québec, was unveiled at the SSJB headquarters on Sherbrooke St. on Monday."

Of course there is no Maudit Anglais version of the new anthem produced by the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Montreal.

I still think Love Me Tender would be more appropriate.
