Gary Dimmock writes in The Ottawa Citizen that they are at it again. To wit "The Conservative government is deporting an Ottawa convict to India even though he was born in Canada."
The man is "Deepan Budlakoti, a 23-year-old first-time federal offender, is being deported to his parents’ homeland under a rarely-used law in the Citizenship Act that says if your parents are foreign diplomats or under their employ at the time of birth, you are not considered a Canadian citizen."
Mr. Budlakoti was no angel, he has drug and gun convictions, but he has never even been to India.
There is right and there is wrong.
This is wrong.
